Artist Biographies

Carrie is the owner and principle photographer for Carrie Wildes Photography Art & Design.  Her passion for photography was ignited while on a mission trip to the Philippines when she realized how amazing it was to capture the spirit and emotions of the people there.  It has developed into a love for creatively telling a story that shows the beauty, emotion, and the unique details of each wedding, event, or portrait session she has the privilege of capturing.

Carrie's style is best described as always evolving.  Her influences include fashion, photojournalism, and modern portraiture. She is constantly challenging herself to improve her artistry and dare to be different!

Prior to starting her own business, Carrie graduated from Purdue University (Go Boilers!) with a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering and spent 6 years in the corporate world traveling and experiencing International business.

Sylense  is our fabulous associate photographer. Yes, her name is Sylense, here’s the story: her parents were driving down the street before she was born trying to come up with a name and her mom got annoyed with her dad and said “silence” and the rest is history:-)

She got interested in photography as a child but more as the model than the artist. In high school she took a black and white photography class and became the photographer for the yearbook.  That’s where she began to explore her creative side and found her love for photographing people and moments in time.

Since then, she has been studying photography and working with Carrie.  She is our details person and master at capturing candid expressions and funny moments.  Her personality and creativity is a huge part of what we do and it's a pleasure to have her on our team.

Clay is our amazing artistic designer.  With close attention to detail and a bold eye for color, he artistically retouches all of our work and designs our custom story book albums.  This allows us to focus on our two most important things:  creating amazing images and client experience. Clay is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a degree in Lighting Design. We could not do what we do without Clay!
