Joseph's Graduation from Northern Kentucky!

This is such an awesome idea that we haven't actually done before but I love it!!  Diana's son was graduating from Northern Kentucky University and she wanted to invest in having the event documented.  Like a wedding, college graduation is a one time event and they had their relatives all there to celebrate.  Why not take the opportunity to capture that?  Love it!!  Here's a few of our favs of the event, some sweet ones of Joseph and his family and some super funny ones of him and his friends.  Congrats Joseph and best wishes in your new career!

Metropolitan Ministries Miracle Place Ground Breaking

Metropolitan Ministries is a pretty amazing organization that reaches out to poor, hungry and homeless men, women and children in their time of need.  They are expanding the number of families they can serve by building Miracle place which is an extension of the shelter adding 50 units that are going to allow them to assist 200 additional families per year.  I photographed the ground breaking to kick off the project which was so great to be a part of!  It was really awesome to hear Chandra Rowley, who told her story about how Metro Min had helped her and her 3 children as she was pregnant and had no where else to go.  Eight months later she's graduating from school as a phlebotomist and moving into their own apartment and back on her feet.  The headstart kids definitely stole the show as they helped throw the first shovels of dirt along with the Mayor and staff:-)

2012 Women of Influence Luncheon

One of my favorite events to photograph each year is the Women of Influence Luncheon that the Tampa Chamber hosts at A La Carte Pavilion.  They always get a phenomonal woman to tell their story.  If you know me I LOVE pop culture and celebrity gossip so I was super excited that Guiliana Rancic from E News, Fashion Police, and Guiliana and Bill was this years speaker!  She is so nice and has such a positive outlook on life.  She shared how she made it through the labrynth of the journalism world to get her dream job at E News.  She also has gone through breast cancer and is using that experience to relate to other women and use it as a platform.  It was awesome as usual, over 800 women and a few men too:-)
