Nadia + Adil

Nadia and Adil are super sweet and have this calming sense about them! They've been traveling back and forth from the Jersey Shore planning their 3 day wedding celebration this June so it was nice to get to spend a little time getting to know them:-)

The mehndi (henna) ceremony takes place on the first night of the three day wedding celebration. This festive event is filled with vibrant colors, loud music, dancing, and fun. The mehndi starts the wedding events on a happy note.

The nikkah refers to the Islamic marriage ceremony. In this ceremony, the bride and groom repeat their acceptance for the marriage three times in the presence of two witnesses.

The shaadi takes place on the second night. The shaadi is thrown by the bride's family and is a welcoming party to the groom's family and guests. The shaadi is followed by a rukhsati, in which the bride leaves her family to embark on her new life with her husband.

I love all the attire, ceremonies, traditions, and colors of Pakistani weddings so I can't wait to capture their amazing event!
